He turned 8 months just in time for the hurricane to come through and my guess is in a week or two he's going to become a little hurricane himself. He's on the move. He rolls all around, then rolls some more, then sits up, crawls backwards and then has started pulling himself up to stand on things. And just a few hours ago he crawled. He only went a few feet, but he got somewhere. The baby gate went up this morning since he was about 2 feet away from going down the stairs. He's on a mission for sure.
Eating is getting fun too. He really wants to feed himself these days and sometimes screams until we stop feeding him and give him finger foods to eat. Cheerios, grilled cheese, garlic bread, puffs, biscuits, yogurt bites, steamed squash and carrot pieces are what's been on the menu lately along with his regular baby food.
Ever since he was sick his sleep has been a little off. He doesn't ever want his nighttime bottle because he's full from eating so much for dinner then anytime between 2 and 4 he usually wants his bottle. So he wakes up, chugs it and 10 minutes later we're all sleeping again. Might be because this is the last baby strolling through this place, but neither of us mind this night feeding. We also know this won't go on forever...so be it. Then there's some nights where he goes 12 hours straight...he'll work it out for sure because all in all he's a good sleeper for sure :)
When we were at the doctor last week he weighed 17lbs. 12 oz, which was a jump from his past 15% to 33% on the charts and he was about 28 inches. He says Mama and Dada and likes to say Mama a lot. I like this since Tyler said Dada a lot. When he eats we do the sign for more and he kind of says 'mo' and puts his hands together like he's trying to do the sign.
Giggly and happy is still his thing...he's such a sweetheart ♥
For this months photo shoot we decided to channel Hugh Hefner...
One of his favorite places to go...under the coffee table.
