Hurricane sandy left us with lots to cleanup, so our township decided to let us decide when and how safe it was for trick or treating in our neighborhoods on actual Halloween night. We ended up trick or treating on Wednesday and Friday night this year. The neighborhood next to ours was hoppin on Halloween so we spent the night over there (man we found the money spot...free beer and shot offers over there, they don't mess around), then on Friday night we went around our neighborhood to see our neighbors. And on Friday they got to have their parade and parties at school. It was a pretty cold Halloween, but I'd say our Dragon and Spiderman had a pretty good time! Tyler picked out his own costume this year (he picked out Zac's too) and he was super pumped about it. I think he tried on his costume about 10 times before actual Halloween. I love that he actually gets it now and he knew exactly what to do when he went to someone's door. Trick-or-treat and Thank you...we practiced for a few days :)
He also learned a new song this year. He was watching TV in our bed one morning and he starting singing the oldie but goodie...trick or treat, smell my feet...I'll pull down your underwear song. I asked him who taught him that song and he said "Harper and Angela", yep two 4 year olds at school ha ha...let the learning from older kids begin!
