Christmas Dinner #1
We had our first Christmas dinner at Aunt Kris and Uncle Andy's house on Saturday. It was also Gram's birthday so we celebrated a lot that day! Lots of fun playing in the now, making snow angels and running around with cousins having a good time!

Zac...10 months
I have to interrupt the Christmas updates with this 10 month update else I'll forget about it. Zac, this month you dedicated to eating. You pretty much eat everything in sight as long as it's not baby food. You really don't like us to feed you so we pretty much just give you any type of food we eat and you love it. We can't believe how well you eat for your age. You feed yourself everything and your favorites seem to be mandarin oranges, bananas, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, veggie burgers and of course wheat Ritz crackers. You drink well from your sippy and in a short 2 months we'll be getting rid of that bottle, so we're happy you like drinking from a cup.
You cruise around on everything now a days and motor around after your brother like it's nothing. You still think Tyler is the coolest thing ever and you seem to have gotten over your brief period of being afraid of people you don't know. Your teacher tells us you'll be walking soon. She was right on with Tyler so we'll she if she's right this time around too!
Sleep...biggest change from last month! You sleep so well now. We had one night where we had to let you cry a little and after that you have been great. You go to bed at 7:30-8 and wake up anywhere from 6-7. We are all VERY happy!
You seemed to have found your voice or at least figured out that you have to yell to be heard over your brother. "Nana" seems to be a new 'word' and I swear you always saw it while in your highchair so maybe you're trying to say banana. You still have 2 bottom teeth and I can't feel any others coming in at the moment. New tricks this month are dancing and giving high fives :)
Other than that, you're growing up so fast and we can't believe in 2 months we'll have a one year old - yikes! Love you buddy! ♥

Winter show and a visit with Santa
I have to split these Christmas posts up because I have way too many pictures. Our Christmas festivities started with Tyler and Zac's winter Show at school. Zac was a penguin and Tyler was a dradle this year. Zac's class looked so adorable, but I couldn't get the best pictures of him because I was scared he'd see me and start crying. Tyler's class sang a song about a dradle and handed out chocolate to their parents. They did a great job with the song :)

And then Santa came to visit. I wasn't expecting Tyler to want to sit on his lap, but he hopped right up and started telling him what he wanted. This was the first time Zac saw Santa and after this we decided to skip the trip to the mall this year...he wasn't very happy, but it made for a classic picture! :)

And Keepin up with the DePolo's Volume 2 arrived with almost 300 pages!

A little Christmas break
I planned on posting stuff this past week. But in light of what happened last Friday in Newtown, CT it just didn’t feel right for me to post pictures of my kids being happy. My heart, along with everyone else’s, breaks for the families having to go through such tragedy. I can’t even imagine what they’re going through, as I’m sure no one can. We keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
I came across this quote the other day and it describes parenting perfectly.
Making the decision to have a child – It’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” - Elizabeth Stone
So, after Christmas I’ll be back. Back with some fun videos, pictures of a little dude screaming on Santa’s lap, a Christmas show recap, Tyler dressed as a dradle, and much more from the exciting days ahead of us preparing for Santa’s arrival and when the big guy finally arrives, but for now, we’re going to soak up all the things of this wonderful holiday and be very, very thankful for our families and what we have.
I’ll leave you with this. These three are ready to take on the world and how I wish it was this easy to capture the bad guys…oh how I wish!

Xmas outtakes
Some funnies from Tyler this week...
This one happened a while ago and I can't remember if I write about it and I'm too lazy to go back and look. Tyler was at school playing with the kitchen set and handed his teacher a bottle and said "Ms. Kristen, will you hold my beer?" yikes!
They were out playing on the playground at school one day and a cop went by with his sirens on. They said Tyler started running in circles around the playground yelling "The cops are coming! The cops are coming! Everyone hide!" and then he ran in to the little playhouse to hide.
So, like Jill said, from what the teachers hear from Tyler, they probably just think we're a beer drinking, boob loving, running from the cops family! Yeeehaw!
The other night he went to bed and about 15 minutes later I heard him sneeze. Then, he started yelling for me. I went to his room and he said "Mommy, why didn't you say bless you"
And the other night, we were reading books in bed and he looked over at a picture of him and Alex that's on his dresser and he said "I look like a girl in that picture. Let me see that picture." I brought it over to him and he said "Yeah, I look like a girl with that hat on."
And he's definitely starting to have dreams...
At 5am one morning, he started crying and yelling for me. I went in his room and he was sitting up with his eyes still closed and was saying "I don't want to leave the birthday party", then laid back down and went to bed.
Yesterday morning, he woke up and was really upset and told Dave "I had a dream that you left us in the car and I had to drive Zac home". What?? No clue where that came from! :(
Now, on to my annual "bribe the kid so he sits still and takes one nice picture for the Christmas card event", bad news is I can't bribe Zac yet. Sigh. So after a promise of a milk shake with sprinkles on top, the boys sat for a picture. This is right after we walked in the door from swimming at the Y and I didn't even let them take their hats off. Probably not the best time since they were both really hungry from swimming, but oh well. We didn't really get a great one, but got a good enough one to use for the card. And the cards came and I ordered the wrong size...it's bigger then I normally get, but I'm just dealing with it. Here's a few outtakes...

Mid week stuff
I was in the bathroom getting ready for work one morning and the kids were in the living room. Zac was in the exersaucer and starting crying a little bit. Tyler went over to him and said "Don't worry Zac it's ok, I'm your big brother I'm here with you". ♥
Amy's co-worker has twin boys so she shares the hand me downs with us. This Batman costume was in the latest delivery and Tyler would not take it off he was loving it! Thanks Amy!

This guy reads every toy magazine that makes its way in to the house...

And a date to Cold Stone Creamery...try explaining to a 2 year old that the ice cream shops in town are closed for the winter and we have to try a new place. I was surpised that it wasn't much of a hit with the dude...he just wanted a twist with sprinkles, but I enjoyed it :)

Kite flying on a very mild December day

And a quick clip of some monkeys jumping on the bed. We jumped on our beds all the time when we were little (and may have broken a few wheels off the bed while doing it - sorry Mom!). As long as they don't try to jump when it's bedtime...I'm up for them having some fun!

IT happened!
Last week we got a little bit of snow. I picked the kids up from school and as soon as Tyler got outside he yelled "Let's go skiing!" in the most high pitched, loud toddler voice you can imagine. As soon as we got home he asked to go play outside. Now, there wasn't much snow at all, but there was enough for him to make some little snowballs and play a little. Dave just put in two floodlights to light up the backyard because "Beth, the kids are going to need light when they play football at night (and for Polish horseshoes at night in the summer)". Of course I made fun of him since our 2 year old and 9 month old don't quite play football in the the dark yet, but they came in handy for night skiing in the yard. Off they went to ski and I tried to capture it the best I could while still keeping Zac entertained and warm. Tyler was loving it and so was Dad...Dear Lord thank you for answering my prayers.
