14 months

Even though I didn't plan on doing monthly "birthday" updates after Tyler turned one, there's so much fun stuff going on that I need to document it. So, I'm thinking maybe every other month will do :) Here's the 14 month scoop...
  • Still loves Ring Around the Rosie, but now he finishes the song for you by saying down at the end.
  • He also likes to just spin in circles and make himself dizzy.
  • Learning to jump is his latest move and when you ask him to jump he desperately tries to. He loves to jump on the couch and bed though and we're in trouble when he learns to climb on to the couch.
  • Says Yes or No along with shaking his head when you ask him a question. The yes head shake kind of looks like a headbutt.
  • Loves the swing set, especially the slide, and will go down all by himself. The other day he put his feet down while sliding and ended up going head first in to a tumble...thankfully Dave caught him :)
  • Isn't a huge fan of meat. Pizza, pasta and cheese are still his favorite. He's getting better at using a fork to eat too.
  • Knows the sign language for eat. He learned that one at school I didn't even know what it was until he did it.
  • Still has an obsession with the dishwasher and loves to climb on it. Lately he's been pushing the buttons and trying to open it. When we bought it the guy was telling us about the lock feature on the buttons and since Tyler was still little at that point I couldn't imagine ever having to use it...ha!
Dave went on a ski trip to Utah and Tyler and I had lots of fun hanging out with family! Here's what we did...

Met an older woman who pushed him around in the car

Played with and ate some sidewalk chalk

Jumped rope...

Took Spiderman for a walk in the stroller

Ate pancakes that Aunt Jill made from scratch - yummy!

Better yet...eating homemade pancakes in some cute heels!

Did a few bed time laps around the house

Actually got on to the dishwasher before he was caught and was clearly celebrating his achievement!

Oh man!! He is looking like such a little boy these days! LOVE the Penn State jammies (along w/ his giant smile) and the pic of him on the dishwasher is hilarious:)
