With the weather getting nice we have lots of staring out the front door and yelling to go outside!
Dave and I (and a bunch of friends) are doing a Warrior Dash in June. We were at a toy store and found the perfect helmet for Tyler to wear while cheering us on. When we're done with the race we get a viking helmet (and some beer) :)
School pictures came in! They were taken the week Tyler was sick, but my Mom took him in to get them even though he was still a bit under the weather. The picture is a good combo of not feeling 100% and caught you with your eyes half closed, but still cute as can be and we now have the first "official" school picture! Another Mom and I were laughing at the way every kid is just staring at the camera in a daze because we've never seen them like that - they're usually all over the place!
This week they celebrated Dr. Seuss week by having a green eggs and ham breakfast. And we were told that he'll be moving up to the toddler room pretty soon...along with his BF Wyatt (he's the first one on the left in the pic)! He's not really in to two full naps a day anymore and the Toddler room means one afternoon nap, no crib, you sleep on mats at nap time (all I can say is God Bless them), but they swear to me that kids adjust. Right now he has music class, but now he'll start doing art projects, have gym class and have more structure in his day with lots of fun learning happening! When I picked him up yesterday his sheet said "Fought with Kyle today"! Not sure about the details of the fight, but this goes down as his first official brawl :)
I think I'm declaring Friday night as pizza and pet store night. Our social bug loves pizza and also likes to keep everyone in the restaurant entertained with his flirting, high fives and blowing kisses. After pizza we hit up the pet store and it's always a huge hit! Zoo trip is definitely in our future!
Yesterday he got in to his second fight of the day with one of the racks at REI ouch!
Dave has been busy building an end table for us. We couldn't find one that we liked so he ended up building one. We wanted it to be different so he decided to make it look like a bridge - go figure! A few years ago we also made the lamp that's on the table. Next up, staining and installing a new wooden railing. We have a not so nice 1950's railing with some plexiglass on it so Tyler can't go through the holes. No plexiglass on the stairs though and he likes to stick his head through the railing eek! Our awesome neighbor who's a carpenter will be helping with this project! Stay tuned...
