Mothers Day

We've been MIA because potty training has begun and has taken over our lives. We're still not 100% there yet, but we're making progress. The advice we get from everyone is it takes time (and patience) so I'm running with that and thanking the good Lord that we have hard wood floors that can be easily cleaned ;) Check out those buns though...incredibly cute!

Here's our Mothers Day pics. We didn't take one picture until we got home from Gram and Pops at 9pm. One sleepy boy and one hungry, sleepy boy meant we took whatever picture we could get out of them with Mom.

And I try to keep it real once again. Here's the "Mom, I'm going to pick my nose for the picture because it'll be funny".

We're also ripping up our upstairs carpet. Our stairs, hallway and our bedroom had carpet that we've been talking about ripping up since we bought the house. So, Dave went for it and since we have the original hardwood floors in our house (from around 1960 I think) we had no clue what would be under the carpet, but it looks pretty good. Some spots needed to be scrubbed a bit, but we're happy with how it looks! And Tyler is loving that he gets to help Dad!

Snuggles :)

And lastly, we had an appointment with Dermatology for Zac yesterday about his birthmark. We saw Dr. Treat at CHOP and we are so thankful to be so close to these amazing doctors! He pretty much gave us the option to leave it alone or treat it like we did with Tyler by using the glaucoma medicine Timolol on it to aid it in fading and completely disappearing. He said it looks good though and it's not a bad spot to have one and there's no worries about the location of it on his neck. Given the history of Tyler's ulcerating we chose to treat it since we had really good results with Tyler (the doc agreed with our decision, which was reassuring). Zac also flirted with the PA and nurses just like Tyler used to. It was very cute :) He's up to 11 lbs. 7 oz. and 24 inches long. At his 2 month appt. at the pediatrician they said he was 22 inches long, but that didn't make sense to me so when they measured him yesterday this made much more sense! Someone is happy about all of this (sorry about the sideways picture)!
