By time this gets published mid-week we will have gone through yet another snow storm and hopefully all is back to normal (they were way off with this one and thankfully we only got like an inch or so). I sometimes write these posts beforehand when I have some free time and set them to publish on a certain day. We had two Grandma's on alert for this one because by time we get to summer we won't have any vacation left at the rate we're going. Gram (Dave's Mom) camped out here Sunday and Monday night to relieve Grammy (my Mom) since she's been handling snow duty this Winter too. Thank goodness for Gram's!
I'm sure we've also done our fair share of sleigh riding, snow angeling, snow eating, quading, and hot chocolate sipping. Tyler got a new ski helmet from Kelsey next door and he got to try it out last weekend with Dad. We had a really warm weekend last weekend (like 50) and we felt like it was 90 out. The boys played at the playground, jumped in puddles, played in the mud, and rode bikes like it was Spring! Oh, and they did some snow pile riding of course.
One night they were playing in Zac's room quietly and Tyler yelled up "Mom, come look what we did!". I went upstairs and they had EVRY SINGLE thing in Zac's room in his crib. I mean down to every nut and bolt from the work bench even. Good thing is the room looked spic and span since everything was in the crib :) Oh, the power of two! Another thing to note is I realize that my kids are half naked in a lots of pictures. That's because only 50% of the time when they're in the house are they fully dressed. Once one take a shirt off or runs away after getting a diaper changed and doesn't put pants back on, or goes potty and comes out with no pants on the other one follows and does the same. They like to run around half dressed and that's fine with me. We just keep the house cozy warm so they don't freeze. Pick your battles or maybe they'll be nudists?! Hey, whatever floats your boat boys!
Another round of school pictures are in too! They're getting better for sure. I mean other than Zac's "I'm going to pop you face" or his "I'm going to cry in 2 seconds face" it's all good. Tyler came home the day of pictures and I asked how pictures were and he said "Mom, Zac was made when we were getting our pictures taken." Tyler is getting to be quite the model and I cherish these pictures more than you know and love to look back at them :)
We also painted Tyler's closet doors with chalkboard paint and Zac's will get done today. They are really loving it!
Let's start with some video of Tyler shakin it with Ke$ha and Pitbull...because you just can't help it when this song is on.
And a little more shakin it by Tyler and I, he asks me to dance and says me "Let's dance, my heinesty".
And Gram took a few turns on the quad...we never thought we'd see the day, but she hopped right on and did great!
