Xmas 2013

Aaahh Christmas...time for craziness. You spend what seems like so long preparing for this day and it flashes by in a instant. Presents galore, family, and lots of food always makes for wonderful day around here. I was certain we were going to have a white xmas as we had about 8 inches of snow on the ground, but we had some really strange almost 70 degree weather the weekend before xmas and it ruined everything. Blah! We had a pretty low key xmas eve and day. Xmas eve Tyler and I ventured to church with the masses and he fell asleep in the pew about a half hour in to it. We came home to have our xmas eve dinner and I decided that this year I was going to make due with food we had in the house instead of do our normal weigela dinner. I made Swedish meatballs, we shared oplatki and had a nice night together before the big day.

We prepped for Santa's arrival. Got out the goodies for Santa and the reindeer, spread our reindeer dust all around and called it a night. Tyler was in bed for about 15 minutes or so and he called for me. I went to his room and he said "Mom, annoying isn't a nice word." I replied as usual "Oh no, that's not nice at all." He followed that by "And freakishly annoying isn't nice either". Where he gets this stuff from I have no clue, but he said he got it from Wreck it Ralph. He then followed that by reciting part of the Night Before Christmas poem to me. So....after that was over with everyone was tucked in and fast asleep.

Christmas morning once everyone got up we went downstairs to see what Santa brought. He didn't disappoint and we all must have been good this past year. Tyler loved unwrapping his presents. He ripped each one open and was really excited about his gifts. Zac, on the other hand, unwrapped one present, which was goldfish and then sat in his saucer and ate goldfish. Oh yeah, and he's naked because he pooped about 5 minutes in to opening presents and never got his clothes back on. So he continued to sit in the saucer and eat and Tyler ended up opening up most of Zac's present too. He didn't seem to mind, but he did have fun playing with all the stuff once it was opened.

We went to Grammy's after we opened presents, then went to Aunt Kris' house for dinner. Another great holiday under our belts and once again thankful for our wonderful family that we get to spend this time with. Without further ado...here's the Christmas picture overload.
