Wedding season comes to an end

Last weekend Dave and I had a little getaway to Colorado for Sean and Mindy's wedding. The wedding was at Mount Princeton Hot Springs resort and we had a really great trip. I got to relax with the girls, Dave got in some mountain biking, we hung out in the hot springs (I hung in the lukewarm springs) and had a long chill weekend. It was another beautiful wedding and we were happy to be able to celebrate with them!

I've been writing a lot lately, so I'll let the pictures speak for this trip and just a warning there's picture overload here! A few notes...yes Dave has a cap gun in his waistband in the pictures (we shot them at the end of the wedding - Colorado tradition) and I think he truly enjoyed feeling like an outlaw; yes, we found some rocks in between the wedding and reception, which resulted in endless fun for some goofballs...thankfully we have friends that are just as crazy as us.

We were ready to see the big guy by time we got home, but it was probably our last trip with just the 2 of us before the next bean comes along, so we took advantage of the relaxation and realize that we may not get this again until the kids are 30..at least :) Tyler stayed with Dave's parents and he had a great time running around with his Gram and Pop. He came home saying Gram like an old pro and He went to Chuck-e-cheese for the first time and loved it! Add it to the list of places to keep energetic toddler occupied during the Winter. Thanks Mom and Dad!

This summer has been pretty dry and it hasn't been helping my black thumb that I tend to have. When we got back from Colorado my flowers were miraculously growing again from only one storm. Add in two more storms that came thru in one weekend and we know have the wettest August on record and I have growing plants! Here's the pond/creek that took over during the storms. Always a good test to see if our house gets water in the basement - we pretty much stayed dry!
