Turtles and Phillies galore!

The Spring Show rolled around again this year. We had a Dr. Seuss performance and some Ninja Turtles. Only thing is Zac is still in the stage where if he sees us he'll cry so I just snap secret pictures of him while hiding behind church pews and ducking under things just to get sub par pictures. Tyler's class combined their new karate skills with Ninja Turtles. Only 4 boys in his class and Ms. T came up with this spectacular idea. They were in heaven! We also had another Phillies game outing, this time we all went. The Nelson's won tickets that included a VIP tour of the park before the game started. Dave met Cole Hamels and got his signature on a baseball hat for the kids. Then, we took turns sitting in really awesome seats, first row next to first base. It was sweet!

Shannon and I ran in the See Chicks run race this year. We've been friends since Kindergarten and it's so unbelievable that we are still friends to this day and live 10 minutes away from each other. She ran her first race and did really great! I love this race. It's all women and it benefits Philly Girls in Motion which encourages you girls to be active and healthy. Super near and dear to me as it's so important to encourage kids early on to be active.

Kickin it off right!

The joys of summer...we spent Memorial day weekend rock climbing, bike riding, hot tubbin', quad riding...doesn't get much better than that. Alex, Tyler and Sydney has a blast riding the trails the Dave weed wacked in the woods for them. Alex must have clocked about 2 hours just riding around on the quad, she's really good at driving it. Of course, the only thing we have captured is when she bumped in to a small tree.

I got back on the rocks also and it felt so nice to climb and made me realize how much better I used to be as this was an easy route and it was hard at times. Last time I went climbing Tyler was in my belly and I didn't know it. Jill also got on the rocks and did great, being that she's scared of heights we made her go to the top. As she got going we said you're not coming down until you reach the top :) She did great!

We took Tyler's training wheels off a few weeks ago and took him 3 times up to the flat parking lot at the school to teach him how to ride his bike. Each time he got better and better, but we still weren't ready to unleash him completely alone. We were at Grammy's house and we brought his bike to keep practicing and on the first try he started going and voila! He can ride a bike, just like that!? It amazes me that his little body found what it needed to balance and he's getting better and better at it. He's mastered stopping on his own, but starting is a little harder. We're getting there, but he's doing great and pretty soon he'll be ready for the Wissihickon :)

I'll let the pictured and videos speak for themselves.
