Hodge Podge

It's been a few weeks and I was getting twitchy that I haven't put anything up here. You see, if I get too far behind I start getting anxiety over it. Not a bad thing, it's what keeps me going with these posts. I dream of laying in the hammock in the backyard, feeling the warm summer breeze, sipping my sweet tea and writing...maybe in 2020!?

I had a very nice Mother's Day where I slept until 8:30 both Saturday and Sunday and my coffee was made both days when I came downstairs. That to me is the perfect gift! I got to hang out with my crazy boys and enjoy them just like I do every other day. Mother's Day is like valentine's day we need to show love everyday of the year, not just one day. And really, if I was going to have an absolute relaxing day I would need to be shipped to a remote island!

The kids had their first pizza making party, Tyler went to his first Phillies game (and I've included all outtakes of the pics so you can see just what it takes to get a good one around here!), we fit in some ice cream with friends, Dave and I got to sneak out for a long trail run, rainbows on a day where it was just what I needed after a long day of work and playing in the rain with friends on our block.

Next post is the rock climbing and quad and bike riding extravaganza! Stay tuned!

Updates, Updates

Gosh, finding time to update is hard these days. I have so much in my mind that I could write about, but getting the time to sit down and write it is a different story. For now, pictures will have to do to document what's been happening. We've been fishing, sitting by the fire pit, playing baseball, going on some family runs (sweet! they both like to go in the jogger so we can get runs in!), working in the yard, having cookouts out with neighbors and running around with friends. All the things that make the turn of consistently nicer weather just. plain. awesome. Spring is in full swing!
