Last photo dump of the summer

Here it is, the last photo dump of pictures for summer before we go on vacation. When we get back, I'm ready for Fall to start. Bring on sweatshirts, football and crunchy leaves to jump in. But for now, keep the sun shining and our toes will be in the sand so very soon.

Camping and the big zoo

On Saturday night we had a backyard campout. A fires, smores, and playing in the text = two happy kids. Zac and I didn't sleep in the tent, but next summer he'll be ready. Zac had a really good time playing in it though. And Tyler loved having the campout with dad. Dave said he woke up in the morning and said "Let's go in and tell Mom I slept in the tent!"

On Sunday we went to the Philly Zoo and we left with a zoo pass. That means we now officially have passes to two zoos and we are becoming one with the animals I guess. Honestly though, they love it. Tyler could look at the animals all day and Zac was letting out some "Whoa's!" while pointing at them, so he gets it too. The little zoo by our house is so nice. It's convenient, they can run around, it's not crowded and there's a playground. Win for us. It was time to step up our game though, so our 1st Philly Zoo trip was made.

Stuff been seen

Cuddling cousins

Extreme block building...nothing is ever just normal here.

And the Jeep gets towed again. AAA loves us or maybe they hate us because we get our money's worth for sure. It's back up running though, he lives on...

Friday night cheers, milk in pint glasses, and selfies of Tyler and I being goofy.

Peek-a-boo Mom :) I could eat him up!

We went for a bike ride in the Wissahickon. Tyler and Dad managed to ride through every puddle and he had mud everywhere...talk about one happy boy. He was loving it! :)

And this guy is busy riding vacuums and unloading everything out of our drawers. At least I know this is a phase and won't go on forever! When I'm cooking, I usually have to search the house for something I need because it's been relocated by the little man.

Bread eating...they are definitely our kids. Our neighbor brings us home bags of bread from south Philly...soooo good!

Yesterday morning we had a storm come through as we were leaving for work/school. Weird stuff since these storms don't usually come in the morning. Tornado warnings, downpours, thunder and lightning, a river/lake in our backyard and it was so dark out. We decided to wait it out and not leave when it was crazy outside. I ended up not wearing shoes until I got in the door at work since we schlopped through the 5 inches of rain that fell in two hours or so, then the sun came out and we had nice day...oh the timing :)
